Renaissance School of the Arts Presents The Wizard of Oz at the ...

Terrace TheaterStudents of Renaissance School of the Arts take the stage this November to perform a favorite childhood classic The Wizard of Oz! Get ready to reminisce and enjoy the sights and sounds of one of America?s favorite musicals! The performances are on Friday, November 16th at 7PM and Saturday, November 17th at 2PM, at the Terrace Theater/Long Beach Performing Arts Center ? an SMG-managed facility. This musical is a presentation of Renaissance High School for the Arts (RHSA).?

The 2012 Fall production The Wizard of Oz is a classic tale based on the popular L. Frank Baum story. Don?t miss out on the classic coming of age story that has been loved by audiences for years. This show features a cast of over sixty-five students and is a collaboration of the school?s theatre, music, dance and visual arts departments. The musical score will be performed live by the RHSA orchestra. Additionally, Renaissance students work on every aspect of the show production ? from set design and stagecraft, to sound, lighting, costume design, makeup and videography.

?We are excited to host, yet again, another great production by the Renaissance School of the Arts,? said Dan Spellens, Director of Theaters & Entertainment for SMG at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center. ?It is a pleasure to welcome the school back to Long Beach Terrace Theater,? he concluded.
